Children’s Ministries

Nursery

The care of our young children, newborn through age three, is given during each worship service by volunteer members of the congregation. An infant and toddler nursery provides a safe and comfortable environment where children are cared for and have opportunity for play while their parents worship.

After parents have signed their child(ren) in they are given a pager so that they can be alerted during the service if their child(ren) needs parental care.

Young Children and Worship

Young Children and Worship is a program curriculum that presents a joyful way for children to worship God. It invites children to experience the wonder and mystery of God through a unique storytelling format and multi-sensory materials in a worship setting developed especially for them.

Here at Covenant, Young Children and Worship is for children age three through Kindergarten. They are dismissed from the morning worship service at the designated time indicated in the bulletin and meet together in the church’s multi-purpose room. Children must be three years old by September 15 to be eligible to attend the fall session. For those turning three after September 15, but prior to February 1, an orientation is held the first Sunday in February for the winter, spring, and summer sessions.

The purpose of Covenant’s Church Education program is to nurture children in their faith-walk in an environment conducive to each child’s age level. It’s a place where students are given opportunity to express his or her faith and thoughts as they learn about the story of redemption through Jesus Christ.

Sunday School at Covenant includes children in grades 1 through 8. They meet on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM, September through April.

The Cadets and their counselors meet throughout the year to work together through Bible studies, crafts, fellowship, and special activities to learn more about how to apply the Cadet motto, verse, pledge, and code to Christian living.

Motto: Living for Jesus.

Verse: “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” John 14:15

Pledge: Thankful to God for His gifts to me, I pledge myself to be ready to serve God, my parents, my country, my church, my neighbor, and my Corps.

Code: A Cadet must be reverent, obedient, compassionate, consecrated, trustworthy, pure, grateful, loyal, industrious and cheerful.
